My Champion  

Everyone needs a champion. Someone we can look up to, someone that stands out, someone that we want to be like. I have been very fortunate to have a number of "Champions" in my life. There is my Dad who I want to be like when it comes to my children, my Brother who was always there for me (especially to defend me), my Wife who I believe in, and there is a man named Christy Badia. When I was a teenager and it seemed that no one cared, Christy Badia made a difference for me. After 35 years he still is a "Champion", not just to me but to countless young people by using his talents, his great sense of humor, his caring heart and his tireless efforts. With his wife Ida, they continue to make a difference in the lives of young people by opening their hearts and home. God bless you brother Christy and thank you for being "My Champion".
